Caravan Hitch-up

This video was made last year, during our lock-down, so actually Swifty was all hitched up with no-where to go! Oh well – because YouTube eh.

Now of course we are our own worst critic, and I must confess that there is one error in this video, in that I clipped the break-away cable directly to the U-bolt on the tow hitch. On further research the interwebs clearly states that the break-away cable should be looped back and clipped back onto its own cable so it pulls tight on itself should a break away occur.

Also the eagle eyed amongst you may notice I took the handbrake off twice… what you didn’t see was me moving the caravan from the east-west configuration on the driveway to to the north-south configuration so I could hitch up to the car. But that is the vagaries of video editing for you!
